Alex Bonacarti has been a criminal trial attorney for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Manhattanville College and earned her Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. She began her career as a public defender at the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn where she represented hundreds of clients in both Family and Criminal Court. Alex was a founding staff attorney at New York County Defender Services where she routinely conducted suppression hearings and tried numerous felony cases to verdict. She established her own practice in 2019, handling criminal cases in all boroughs of New York City. Alex is an aggressive advocate for her clients and defends her clients with compassion and integrity.
