Ray Sprowls has been a criminal trial attorney for well over 20 years. He began his career in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office and he was briefly an A.D.A. in the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. In 2005, Ray established his own practice in Orange County, New York and, between 2005 and 2020, he handled thousands of criminal cases in courts all over New York State. He has conducted countless suppression hearings and he has tried over 75 cases to verdict. Ray’s fearlessness and dedication to honing his craft shine through in all that he does but his clients most appreciate the compassion and humanity he brings to the attorney-client relationship.
Ray received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the State University of New York at New Paltz and he earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School, where he was a student intern at both the Brooklyn Legal Aid Society and the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
