NYPD: Suspects or Defenders?

<>The trial for the S. Bell shooting is still under way and new reports indicate that the officers involved in the 2006 shooting may take the stand.

Members of the New York Police Department were acquitted of manslaughter when they opened fire on the suspect outside of a local strip club in Queens. According to an inspector from the firearm review board who recently testified in court, the officers did not act lawfully in their actions of open fire that resulted in the murder of S.Bell. In fact, they are accused of failing to properly adhere to the guidelines that require imminent threat before shooting.

These circumstances are all extremely difficult to objectively determine, especially in a case as high-stakes as one that involve the accusation and possible conviction of NYPD officers. It goes to show that no matter who you are you are never exempt from the implications of the law.
